Thomas J. O'Loughlin, DMD
Meet Dr. O'Loughlin
Dr. O’Loughlin is a general dentist who grew up in Moberly and graduated from Moberly Sr. High School. He served a 2-year mission in Guatemala for his church and then joined the U.S. Army, graduating from West Point in 2000. From there he served as an infantry officer for eight years and was deployed to Kosovo and Iraq with the 10th Mountain Division. Afterward he attended dental school at Roseman College of Dental Medicine in Salt Lake City. He then completed a 1-year general practice residency at UNLV which focused on implants, bone grafts, and IV moderate sedation. He found that he enjoyed doing surgical procedures, so he completed a 1-year Oral Surgery Internship at the University of Nebraska in Lincoln. There he spent 12 months sedating patients and extracting fully-impacted wisdom teeth on a daily basis. As a result of the residency focused on implants and bone grafts, and the residency focused on extracting wisdom teeth, he decided to open a practice which focused on these procedures. He and his wife, Brittney, and their four children are excited to live near family in Moberly.
